# A homepage audit and copy refresh

**Fictional exercise:** Fold, a clothing alterations studio. Intended result: a concise report with traceable findings and usable replacement copy. No live website or external business is inspected.

## Files and route

1. Read [BRIEF.md](BRIEF.md). Copy this folder into your practice project; save your own answers in `my-work`.
2. Open [before-page.html](before-page.html) in a browser and inspect its source. Use the complete prompts in [Lesson 3](../../../lessons/free/03-audit-and-copy.md).
3. Run Website Opportunity Audit, then Page Copy. Make the report and copy before opening the worked answers.
4. Compare with [AUDIT-REPORT.md](AUDIT-REPORT.md) and [PAGE-COPY.md](PAGE-COPY.md). Read [CHECKS.md](CHECKS.md) for corrections and acceptance checks.

These HTML files have no remote dependencies. Open them directly from disk; no npm install is needed. The preview uses a tiny local script to switch its frame. If scripts are unavailable, its direct page links still work. Its width control shows a narrow container, not a mobile-device certification.

## What the work demonstrates

The report distinguishes an observed source issue from an inferred visitor consequence. The copy repairs the unsupported promises without removing the useful service list. The completed example shows what a bounded deliverable can look like; it does not demonstrate a real sale, search-ranking improvement or increased conversion.

All text, HTML, CSS and the preview control were originally authored for this pack. No third-party site, logo, customer record, stock image or font is bundled in this exercise. The supplied answer is teaching material, not evidence of an unattended model run.
